Community Guidelines

Swizil is a space where creativity, privacy, and respectful sharing are valued above all else. To keep this environment welcoming and secure, we ask all users to follow the guidelines below. Violations may lead to content removal, feature restrictions, or permanent bans. The severity of the consequence depends on the nature of the breach, consistent with the enforcement models of platforms like Meta and TikTok. These guidelines are subject to updates at Swizil’s discretion.

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Swizil. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement in your country.

Respect and Safety

Swizil prioritises a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. Content that threatens, intimidates, or incites harm towards individuals or groups is strictly prohibited. This includes hate speech, harassment, bullying, and glorification of violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or medical condition.

Authenticity and Identity

Users must represent themselves authentically. Impersonation of individuals, public figures, brands, or organisations is not allowed. Creating fake accounts, misleading identities, or operating multiple accounts to manipulate engagement violates our policy.

Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour

Swizil prohibits any coordinated effort to mislead users, distort platform activity, or manipulate visibility and engagement. This includes tactics such as engagement farming, mass posting, or the use of fake accounts.

Child Safety and Exploitation

Swizil maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behaviour that exploits, endangers, or targets children. Any violations in this category will result in immediate account suspension and reporting to the authorities.

Harassment and Targeted Abuse

Swizil prohibits harassment or intimidation in any form, including personal attacks, doxxing, revenge imagery, or coordinated harassment.

Suicide, Self-Injury and Mental Health

Swizil does not allow content that promotes or encourages suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. Supportive or awareness-based content is permitted if clearly marked with a content warning and presented in a non-graphic, non-triggering manner.

Dangerous Organisations and Content

Promotion, praise, or representation of terrorist groups, violent extremists, or organised criminal networks is not permitted.

Misinformation and Manipulated Media

Swizil prohibits deliberately false or misleading content that may lead to real-world harm, including AI-generated impersonations and deepfakes.

Nudity, Adult and Sexual Content

Swizil restricts sexual content to clearly educational or artistic content that is non-explicit, non-exploitative, and presented with appropriate context. Pornographic or exploitative content is strictly prohibited.

Intellectual Property

Swizil restricts sexual content to clearly educational or artistic content that is non-explicit, non-exploitative, and presented with appropriate context. Pornographic or exploitative content is strictly prohibited.

Nudity, Adult and Sexual Content

Users must only upload content they own or have permission to share. We comply with copyright and trademark laws and will act on valid infringement claims.

Spam and Platform Abuse

Automated content, bots, engagement manipulation, and phishing attempts are not permitted.

Prohibited Goods and Illegal Activities

Swizil prohibits content that promotes illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons, human trafficking, and unlicensed financial schemes.

Responsible Use of AI Tools

AI-generated content must be clearly labelled if it could reasonably be confused with a real person, event, or communication. Misuse of AI for deception, impersonation, or manipulation is not allowed.

Privacy Violations

Do not share private or confidential information about yourself or others, including addresses, phone numbers, or identification documents.

Commercial Content

Any content promoting commercial goods, services, sponsorships, or affiliate links must be clearly disclosed and comply with applicable advertising standards.

Private Spaces

Swizil supports private sharing. You can share with just the people you choose. We do not monitor private content unless someone reports a serious concern, in which case we will investigate and take action if necessary.

Moderation Rules and Consequences
Enforcement and Appeals

Swizil enforces these standards through content takedowns, warnings, restrictions, and suspensions. Repeat violations result in escalating consequences, including permanent bans. First-time minor violations may be met with a grace-period warning. Users can appeal enforcement decisions through the in-app Help Centre by providing context, evidence, and a clear description of the issue. We aim to respond to appeals within 48 hours.

Jurisdiction and Reporting

Swizil is governed by the laws of England and Wales. All users must comply with local laws and Swizil’s platform policies. Illegal content will be reported to relevant authorities. Violations can be reported via the in-app tool or by contacting support.

Data Retention and Deletion

When a user account is terminated or deleted, personal data will be removed or anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Certain data may be retained for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

AI Transparency and Data Use

Swizil may use anonymised user content to improve AI models (e.g. for image enhancement). No personal identifiers are used, and users can opt out in privacy settings.

Sensitive Content Ratings

Content discussing sensitive topics (e.g. mental health, trauma, recovery) must include a visible warning label when published. These labels help users make informed choices about the content they engage with.

Updates and Feedback

These guidelines are reviewed regularly. Significant changes will be announced in the Help Centre. Feedback is welcome at support@swizil.com.
